Access Statement for Llanymynech Village Hall

We aim to provide an equitable and safe space to all our visitors and user groups and we aim to improve accessibility and facilities so that more people can fully enjoy our village hall.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

The Hall is located in Station Road, Llanymynech SY22 6EE. The front door is off the car park at the front with flat, step free access.

There is one designated Blue Badge car space. But other spaces at the front of the hall also offer step free access to the hall.

Public Areas – General

All the rooms in Llanymynech Village Hall are on one level with no steps.

Our alarm system has both audible and flashing light sirens.

Doorways are at least 80 cm width.

All areas of the hall are non-smoking areas.

Access to the stage in the Main Hall is via four steps.

Public Areas – Toilets

There is one toilet designated for the use of disabled people. It also contains baby change facilities.

This toilet is unisex and there is no need for a key.

The door opens outwards and locks by a twist lock.

There is a pull alarm in the toilet.

The Ladies’ and gents’ toilets are on the ground floor with no step access.

Public Areas – Kitchen

The worktops and cupboards in our kitchen are at a height where wheelchair and some other users may have difficulty reaching.

Hearing Loop

The Hall has an induction loop installed. Please enquire.

Braille

We do not currently have Braille signage in the hall.
